In a regular press conference held on September 11, Hua ChunYing, spokeswoman for [China's] ministry of foreign affairs stated that the Chinese side advocates full respect for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of nations concerned in an international fight against terrorism.

有记者问，美国总统奥巴马发表电视讲话，宣布美将领导一个广泛联盟来对付恐怖主义威胁，对“伊斯兰国”组织进行坚持不懈的斗争。中方对此有何评论？是否会加入美领导的反恐联盟？

[Hua ChunYing was answering] a journalist's question which was referring to U.S. President Obama's TV declaration of America taking the leadership in a wide-ranging alliance and which will be dealing with the terrorist threat and will oppose the war persistently and undiminishedly maintained by the "Islamic State" organization:

"Does China have any comment on this ?" "Might China join the U.S. led alliance against terrorism or not ?"

华春莹说，中方坚决反对一切形式的恐怖主义。国际社会应该共同打击恐怖主义，包括支持有关国家维护国内安全稳定所做的努力。

Hua ChunYing said that China is firmly opposing any form of terrorism. The international community must attack terrorism side by side, and this is including the support of efforts made to secure the stability of internal security in related countries.

The ministry's spokeswoman then makes clear that sovereignty, independence and territoral integrity of related nations are being regarded as essential in the fight against terrorism without mentioning Syria where U.S. forces are known to prepare air raids against ISIS positions.

The following article is dealing with China's own terrorist problem which is usually related to some militant Muslimic group within the Uighur minority in their autonomous region of Xinjiang province. The situation, however, seems to be even more complicated and dangerous. Here is some background information:

是一个1993年由新疆和田人买买提·托乎提和阿不都热·合曼在巴基斯坦北瓦济里斯坦发起成立的圣战者组织[1]。该组织于同年解散，1997年艾山·买合苏木和阿不都卡德尔·亚甫泉再次发起组织。同年，該組織策劃乌鲁木齐公共汽车爆炸案[2]。该组织在吉尔吉斯斯坦、阿富汗、乌兹别克斯坦、巴基斯坦和中国新疆维吾尔自治区设有分支，目标为建立一个原教旨主义的穆斯林国家“东突厥斯坦”。从1990年代至2001年，东突厥斯坦伊斯兰运动势力进行了超过200起的恐怖活动，造成至少162人死亡，超过440人受伤。东伊运和基地组织在资金上有密切来往，许多成员曾在阿富汗接受过由基地组织和塔利班资助的恐怖主义训练[1]。在2002年9月被联合国组织列为恐怖组织。

The so-called East Turkestan Islamic Movement , an organization of jihadists, appeared in 1993 in China's Xinjiang province and Northern Pakistan. It was refounded in 1997 and became known for its bombing of a public bus in Xinjiang's provincial capital of Urumqi the same year. At that time they planned to establish branches in Kirghiztan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan and in the Uighur Autonomous Region of China's Xinjiang (Sinkiang) province, their target being the foundation of " East Turkestan ", a fundamentalist Muslimic state.

Between 1990 and 2001 more than 200 terrorist incidents have been related to that movement, leaving at least 162 persons dead and more than 440 wounded.

The East Turkestan Movement and Al-Qaeda are keeping close contact on funding. Many of the Movement's members have undergone terrorist training in Afghanistan and which was funded by Al-Qaeda and the Taliban.

In September 2002, the [East Turkestan Islamic] Movement was listed by the United Nations Organization as a terrorist organization.

The local names of some persons at the origin of the East Turkestan Movement are included in the Chinese text. They have been ommitted in my translation because any reconstruction of Central Asian names from their Chinese adaption is a really tedious affair.

A report from People's Network, Beijing, on September 17, based on news from the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the same day and regarding a press conference held by the ministry's spokesman Hong Lei.

有记者提问，有报道称，印尼警方日前逮捕了涉嫌恐怖活动的4名中国维族人。能否提供相关信息？中方是否就此与印尼方进行了接触？

One journalist raised the question: "There are news that Indonesian police has arrested four Chinese Uighur citizens suspected of terrorism the day before. Could you provide us with related information or not ? Has China made contact with Indonesia on this matter ?"

对此，洪磊表示，我们注意到有关报道，正在核实有关情况。

In reply, Hong Lei declared: "We are caring for a related report. At the moment we are checking the case."

The Chinese ministry's spokesman then refers to the East Turkestan Islamic Movement as a part of international terrorism and calls for a cooperation on an international level to stabilize national security in China and elsewhere in the world against the dangers of terrorism.

An increasing number of militant Neo-Salafists from Europe is heading for the Middle East to join forces with Abu Bakr's ISIS in Iraq and Syria.

According to the trade union of German police and some experts, Germany's domestic security services didn't realize the problem of religious motivated radicalization until 2008 / 2009 when first Christian converts to Islam left the country to find a new home and purpose in life in the training camps of Al-Qaeda.

Some ultra-conservative Salafist movement in Germany was detected at the origin of Islamic radicalization and which was targeting certain German youths suffering from a difficult situation within their Muslimic or Non-Muslimic families.

The radical ideas of any Salafist movement could be easily defeated by relevant quotations from the Holy Koran which can be seen as an overall-accepted and unchangeable standard in the world of Islam. Yet, any religious dialogue could only be achieved by Muslims in the know and who are freely acting in an embedding society of Non-Muslims. Mistrust and fear of a Non-Muslimic majority, however, makes it difficult if not useless for them the begin a dialogue with those who could still be saved from their militant ideas. What should they answer when being told: "Look, those infidel to Allah are treating you like me as some minor creature."

This, at least, is the basic experience of German experts who are now searching for ways to stop further radicalization and calm down the furious young men (and women) .

History - The Last Caliph

This short lecture on history is about the fall of the once mighty caliphate of Baghdad when Mongolian horsemen invaded and destroyed its capital and killed the last ruler of the Abasside dynasty.

In the 13th century, the Mongols finally decided to repel the Muslims who had been making incursions from Kazakhstan into Western Mongolia and China for six hundred years.

In 1257, Hulagu, a grandson of Mongolia's famous leader Ghengis Khan, asked the Abasside Caliph al-Mutasim, the 37th of his dynasty, to recognize Mongol sovereignty or perish. Hulagu's claim was based on an ancient agreement between al-Mutasim's predecessors and the Seljuk Turks who were of a clan distantly related with the Mongols. That agreement comprised supremacy of Seljuk rulers over the Abasside caliphate in Baghdad.

The Caliph who called himself "prince of the faithful" sent word to Hulagu Khan that any attack on his capital would mobilize the entire Muslim world from India to north-west Africa. Not in the least impressed by his enemy's overconfidence, Ghengis Khan's successor announced his intention of taking the city of Baghdad by force. It was in 1258 that Hulagu and his huge army of Mongolian horsemen finally succeeded in overrunning the caliphate's defense.

The cruel death of Caliph al-Mutasim and the downfall of his empire, comprising far more than Iraq and Syria, showed repercussions everywhere in the Islamic world and led to a temporary decline of Islamic culture.




In 1258, Mongolian horsemen didn't need the U.S. Cavalry.

From Anbar province:
On Tuesday, a reliable source in the command of operations [of Anbar province] informed that it was possible for army aviation to kill tens of followers of Daesh [ISIS] organization in al-Faluja, among them being the organisation's responsable for air defence.

The article is referring to an air raid directed against some headquarters of ISIS organisation near [al-Karma],13 km east of al-Faluja, and which should have taken place this morning, August 26. The ISIS responsable for air defence who died together with his companions is known by his nickname Abu Abdallah.

A British press report revealed the United States assisted the regime of Syria's president Bashar al-Assad in its confrontation with the organization "Islamic State". They acted in cooperation with Germany's reconnaissance apparatus (BND) while rejecting [ultimate] Syrian support with [related] knowledge.


The Arabic source is referring to an article published by the British daily The Independent two days before on August 22.
That article describes the current military situation in Syria and mentions a covert passing of U.S. intelligence to Syria about the exact location of jihadi leaders while using a BND channel. The intelligence business was brought to the attention of British journalists by some source that remained unnamed in the British article.

In the following days, Germany's parliament "Bundestag" is poised to discuss the federal government's decision in favour of weapon deliveries to Iraq that might help to stop the advancing militants from ISIS organisation.
Such military aid has already been approved within the European Union. Even though the German government is not obliged to call for parliamentary support on this matter, it has been decided to summon an extraordinary session of parliament on Wednesday, August 27, to create a broad basis of support for the government's decision.

Daily Mail: The discovery of a letter in Bin Laden's hide-out which is warning of ISIS brutality.

On the occasion of the Bin Laden killing, U.S. special forces allegedly found a letter making part of Bin Laden's personal belongings and that comprised an internal evaluation of Abu Bakr's affiliate organization. That letter, written by one of Bin Laden's senior officials, stated increasing fears that ISIS could damage Al-Qaeda's reputation because of unreasonable cruelties Abu Bakr's militia practised against peaceful Muslims. The document went to list some of the acts of barbarism committed by ISIS, including using chemical weapons, destroying mosques and massacring the congregation of a Christian church.

It was the British "Daily Mail" that came with the news only two days ago on August 10. Meanwhile many Arabic papers quoted the British article. Even People's Network in Beijing reported.

[Today,] June 30, North Korea's Central News Agency reported that North Korea's supreme leader Kim Jong Un guided North Korea's people's army in their tactical training when conducting the launch of a guided missile.
The report is saying the launched [missile] used scientific computing during the whole journey. On its flight trajectory as well as in the targeted waters, security checks were carried out.

China's president Xi JinPing has arrived in South Korea for a two-day visit set to focus on North Korea.

It is the first time a Chinese leader has visited Seoul before Pyongyang, and comes amid cooler China - North Korea ties.

China is North Korea's biggest trading ally and the nation most able to wield influence over it.

But in recent months Beijing has appeared increasingly frustrated with its unreliable neighbour.

Last year, North Korea carried out its third nuclear test and there are reports that it could be planning a fourth.
