EU Greenland Support:
Trump Imposes New Tariffs on NATO Partners


The US is threatening to impose additional tariffs on eight European countries unless they support his plans to acquire Greenland. EU leaders are contemplating potential retaliatory measures — reiterating their support for territorial integrity.

Washington announced on Saturday that eight European countries would face a 10% tariff on their US exports from 1 February unless they support the US’ proposal to purchase Greenland. This rate will rise to 25% in June if no deal is reached.

Trump's plans are related to a decided EU support for Greenland's territorial integrity. Furthermore, Trump shows himself disappointed that he didn't receive the Peace Nobel Prize.

The North American Aerospace Defence Command NORAD, said a military aircraft would arrive at the Pituffik Space Base in Greenland for 'long planned NORAD Activities'. The aircraft's arrival comes amid Trump's repeated threats to take over the world's largest island, a Danish territory.
