US Bombed Iran's Nuclear Facilities Live: The United States launches an attack on three nuclear facilities in Iran, and Trump describes it as "very successful." US President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that the US military had carried out a "very successful attack" targeting three Iranian nuclear sites, including the underground Fordow uranium enrichment facility. Trump explained in a post on his Truth Social platform that the strikes included the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan facilities, noting that "a whole load of bombs" were dropped on the main site at Fordow, and that the aircraft carrying out the operation left Iranian airspace "safely" and were "on their way home". This escalation comes just two days after he announced that he would make a decision "within two weeks" on joining the Israeli military campaign against Tehran. [France24 in Arabic on June 22] |

June 20, 2025 08:10 International Atomic Energy Agency:
We have no relation to the decision to wage war on Iran.
Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, told CNN on Thursday [June 19] that the evidence the agency has collected regarding Iran's nuclear program "is difficult to form the basis for any military action".
Grossi added, "Military action, regardless of its source, is a political decision that has nothing to do with what we say".
After Israel launched its first strikes on Iran, it pointed to a recent report by the International Atomic Energy Agency that Iran is enriching uranium at a higher level than other countries that do not have nuclear weapons programs, in violation of its commitments under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
However, Grossi said that there is no indication of a "systematic program in Iran to produce nuclear weapons".
When asked if he was concerned about the possibility of an American strike on the Fordow (*) facility, Grossi replied, "Diplomacy is the way forward". He added, "You can demolish buildings, but you can't destroy technical knowledge".
(*): A successful attack on the Fordow facility
would imply the US participating with their MOAB
weapon, earlier alleged as "Mother of All Bombs".
