Hollande Wins French Presidential Elections
Election results at 9:00 pm GMT (below)
The Ghost Ship
Only to think that they made us believe Hollande being the captain of a pedal boat. Not at all: He's the captain of a caravel !
That reminds me of an old joke:
Who is the greatest socialist in history ?
The answer is: Christopher Columbus.
When he left, he didn't know where he was sailing to.
When he arrived, he didn't know where he was.
And all that with the money of other people !
[Cartoon by Plantu in the influential French magazine L'EXPRESS, April 18 edition.]
Comment: Even though, Hollande won the presidential elections in France, it will be hard enough for him to reach a consolidation of his country's economy without those austerity measures planned by his competitor Sarkozy.
