The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassim, issued a statement regarding the «Framework Agreement between the Lebanese authority and the Zionist enemy entity, in which he considered that the agreement represents » humiliation, disgrace, and a waiver of sovereignty, calling for the implementation of the provisions of the Iranian-American memorandum of understanding, and obliging the Israeli enemy to cease fire and withdraw from Lebanese territory.
The first paragraph of the memorandum of understanding stated: "The United States, Iran, and their allies in the ongoing war, by signing this memorandum of understanding, declare an immediate and permanent cessation of military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon, and pledge from now on not to initiate any war." A joint meeting of the heads of the executive, legislative and judicial authorities in Iran was held today, chaired by the President of the Republic and hosted by the Presidency. Tasnim International News Agency reported that the meeting brought together President Masoud Pezeshkian, the head of the judiciary, Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, and the head of the Islamic Shura Council, Muhammad Baqir Qalibaf.
